The New Rating System

Readers: Effective Immediately I am changing the rating system of the site. While in the past I have rated on a 1 to 5 star system, I will now be rating a 1 to 4 star system. I believe that this will be more consistent with many film critics as well as tv and film guides.

Movies that in the past have received a 4 star rating will now more often be closer to a 3 star rating, for example. A 2 and 1/2 star rating in the past is now about a 2 star rating and so forth. Please let me know if you have any question or would like an individual movie rated by the old system. Otherwise the 4 star rating is now currently in place.
